The celebration will feature special environmentally-themed education, free activities (including face painting and supplies to make species headbands), and giveaways for all ages.

Parade
10 a.m.

The procession of the species is a community celebration of the environment through art, music, and movement. Come dressed as your favorite animal, insect, or other creature of nature. Parade participants, young and old, tall and short, fast and slow, will be dressed as one of Mother Nature’s creatures, one of the four seasons, or natural elements.

At 10:00 a.m. dance, flutter, and prance along as the parade weaves its way through downtown, before winding back to the Courthouse. No written words or motorized vehicles are allowed. After the Procession, explore a variety of community booths and the Farmers' Market.
